We are looking for a passionate and motivated Communications Advisor to join our Global Projects Centre East team. This is a full-time role for a period of 7 months, to be based in Lisbon, Portugal and will report to the Communications Manager of GPC East.

The successful candidate will lead internal and external communications for Portugal, Africa & Mediterranean and Middle East.

Due to the timescales of the role, ideally the selected candidate will start in November 2024 to allow a proper handover and a positive integration in the role and team.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the planning and roll out of Subsea7 internal communications and events for the countries of scope.
  • Actively participate in the planning and support the roll out of GPC East Communications Plan and regional initiatives such as events, campaigns, and content production.
  • Support the planning, follow up, and roll out of Portugal, Africa & Mediterranean and Middle East external communication plan (part of the main GPC East External Comms Plan).
  • Work closely and collaboratively with GPC East Management Team, local Management teams and Communication team in GPC West.
  • Be a Subsea7 brand ambassador, by understanding our branding and making sure your internal clients follow our guidelines.
  • Understand and embed Subsea7’s employer value proposition and culture (Being7) and Subsea7 strategy (Make Possible) in all convenient projects and initiatives.
  • Give visibility to all activities from Portugal, Africa & Mediterranean and Middle East offices in all Subsea7 internal communication channels (intranet, Viva Engage, emails, newsletter, etc.) and social media (LinkedIn, Instagram) when convenient.
  • Promote GPC East projects and initiatives within your scope internally and externally.
  • Work with group internal and external communication teams on brand management and communication campaigns.
  • Act as the point of contact for Communication in for Portugal, Africa & Mediterranean and Middle East countries.
  • To propose and support the delivery of regional communications campaigns to increase the visibility of the region and the Company as a place to work.
  • Ensure the work scope is collaboratively aligned with wider group internal and external communications plans.

 What experience would we like you to have?

  • You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills in English with experience in the development of compelling employee messaging.
  • Demonstrable experience in communications development across multiple platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and capable of creating engaging content suitable for a diverse range of platforms.
  • Experience in using data to analyze current practice and promote future recommendations and solutions.
  • The ability to work across all levels of the organization and develop positive working relationships.
  • Ability to Influence and encourage adoption of new ideas and ways of working.
  • Internationally and culturally aware and sensitive.
  • Creative and innovative, with drive to learn and develop both yourself, and ways of working.
  • Previous external communication and Emergency Response experience is desirable.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign and Illustrator) is also desirable.
