How To Contribute To Our Vision

The Head (f/m/x) of Wind Power Operations Blades is to lead and optimize global manufacturing operations to ensure the efficient production of high-quality Blades, while driving innovation, operational excellence, and cost-effectiveness. This role focuses on aligning manufacturing strategies with the company’s broader business objectives, enhancing supply chain performance, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and fostering continuous improvement across all manufacturing sites.

The Head (f/m/x) of Wind Power Operations Blades is also responsible for developing a strong talent pipeline and cultivating a culture of accountability, sustainability, and innovation to meet current and future business demands.

The Head (f/m/x) of Wind Power Operations Blades will be reporting to the Head of Wind Power Operations (Chief Operating officer) and be a key member of the Wind Power Operations senior management team. This role covers the leadership of more than 6.000 employees.

Main Responsibilities

  • Customer Focus and strategic leadership
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring that manufacturing operations are aligned with customer needs, delivering high-quality products on time, and handling escalations related to production issues that may impact customers.
  • Developing Manufacturing Strategy: Aligning manufacturing operations with the organization's overall strategic goals, including innovation, cost control, and scalability across global markets.
  • Long-Term Planning: Forecasting demand, planning capacity, and aligning resources to meet future production needs.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensuring global compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental sustainability regulations.
  • Managing Global Operations: Managing manufacturing sites across multiple countries, ensuring they operate efficiently and consistently follow standardized procedures.
  • Quality Control & Continuous Improvement: Ensuring product quality meets or exceeds industry standards through effective quality assurance programs and promoting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Technology & Automation: Driving the adoption of new manufacturing technologies and automation to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Supporting Product Innovation: Collaborating with R&D teams to ensure the manufacturing process can support new product development, including testing and implementing new materials, technologies, or production methods.
  • Process Innovation: Driving innovation within the manufacturing process itself to improve efficiency, flexibility, and adaptability to changing market demands.
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Global Supply Chain Optimization: Managing and optimizing the entire supply chain, including vendor relationships, logistics, and distribution, to reduce lead times and costs while ensuring raw materials and products are delivered on time
  • Financial Management
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Developing and managing budgets for the global Blades manufacturing operations, monitoring financial performance, and driving initiatives to control or reduce operational costs.
  • Capital Investments: Leading decisions on capital expenditures related to upgrading facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, while ensuring these investments align with the company’s growth strategy.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Working with Other Functions: Collaborating with Technology, sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure that manufacturing capabilities align with market demand and product specifications.
  • Talent Management and Leadership
  • Building and Leading Teams: Leading a diverse global workforce, focusing on recruitment, training, retention, and development of talent to build a high-performance manufacturing team. Drive performance of teams.
  • Cultural Leadership: Promoting an inclusive and collaborative corporate culture across various regions, considering local cultures while ensuring that company values are upheld globally.
  • Global Expansion and Growth
  • Expanding Manufacturing Footprint: Identifying opportunities for new production sites or capacity expansion in key global markets to support business growth.

What You Need To Make a Difference

  • Experience:
    • Progressive experience in senior leadership positions within a global manufacturing environment is essential, ideally in the energy sector
    • Advanced leadership profile with strong evidence in building and managing cross cultural, international teams.

    • Leadership skills: The ability to attract and recruit top talent, motivate the team, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team, and manage performance; widely viewed as a strong developer of others. A leader who is self-reflective and aware of his/her/their/their own limitations; leads by example and drives the organization's performance with an attitude of continuous improvement by being open to feedback and self-improvement

    • Setting strategy: Ability to develop and implement long-term plans aligned with organizational goals, leveraging market insights and data-driven analysis to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and guide decision-making. Strong in vision-setting, adaptability, and mobilizing teams to achieve strategic objectives
    • Leading change: Able to shape the values and standards of the organization, developing a common culture for the organization.
    • Communication: An ability to inspire trust and followership in others through compelling influence, transparent communication, passion in his/her/their beliefs, and active drive.
