Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

As a Commodity Buyer, you will join a purchasing project team in a global environment and become part of our Competence Center for Residential Water Heaters in Aveiro.

You will join a fast-paced environment, full of growth opportunities, where your dedication to excellence and customer-focused mindset will drive success in this high-demanding, target-oriented role.

Your responsibility

  • Drive the global material field strategy of electrical water heating systems, in close alignment with the global product owners;
  • Supplier management & supplier strategy on the assigned material groups;
  • Cost analysis and management, conduct annual price negotiation with suppliers, market scouting/analysis and cost benchmarking;
  • Contract management, Supply chain risk management.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management or similar;

Experience: Previous commercial purchasing experience for material field purchasing. Experience in a complex multicultural and international setting;

Know How:

  • Good understanding of supply chain, production, and industrialization processes.
  • Knowledge of SupplyOn, SAP or similar ERPs is valued;
  • Proficient in Excel.

Personality and work style: Interest in working within an international environment. Good communication and negotiation skills. Solution oriented mindset with interest in working in a continuously changing environment, with new processes and digitalization tools;

Language: Excellent domain of English, written and spoken;

Availability to travel.
