What You Will Be Doing
- Create and execute innovative and effective social media strategies that align with our brand goals and target audiences.
- Use in-depth knowledge of digital communications trends and best practices across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) to develop and execute creative, engaging social media content that delivers measurable results.
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with our online community in a timely and authentic manner, fostering positive relationships with our audience.
- Track and analyse key social media metrics to assess performance, identify trends, and optimise content. Provide regular reports to the marketing team.
- Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including budgeting, targeting, and performance tracking.
- Work collaboratively with other marketing, communications, and operating teams within FedEx to build alignment and ensure integrated campaigns deliver optimum value
- Manage agency relationship, activity, and spend to ensure the best outcomes
- Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and suggest new ways to leverage them to enhance our online presence.
- Advise on and be able to get hands-on supporting our senior leadership build their own social profiles.
- Provide advice and hands on support during times of crisis, in collaboration with the wider communications and marketing team.
Success in this role will be demonstrated through measurable improvements in organic and paid key metrics, shifts in brand perception, and a more engaged online audience.
What Do You Bring With You
The ideal candidate would demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, including their algorithms, features, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g. Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Brandwatch) and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Insights)
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
