We are looking for an Area Manager to successfully drive and expand Bolt Food operations across all cities in Portugal outside of Lisbon.

About The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a team of top talents, defining the strategy for each city, building lasting relationships with partners and driving performance improvements across the business.

It’s an exciting opportunity as you would work with smart people, come up with scalable solutions to operational problems and help to shape the future of Bolt Food in Portugal.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Drive top-line revenue growth by overseeing operations of all Portuguese cities outside of Lisbon and ensuring optimal performance of restaurants within the designated segment and cities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the General Manager and functional teams, advocating for the specific needs and challenges faced by the cities under management.
  • Lead and mentor the Account Management Team dedicated to your cities, fostering their professional development and guiding them towards achieving maximum potential.
  • Analyze key performance metrics to derive actionable insights and drive improvements in mid-market merchant performance within the designated cities
  • Ensure renegotiating the contract's conditions such as commission rates and campaign plans with restaurants on a monthly basis. Forecast growth and evaluate the attainment of business goals within the mid-market segment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Campaigns, Partners Operations, Customer Service, and Courier teams, to drive overall business growth and success.

About you:

  • You have several years of experience in operations management, consulting, business development, growing a startup or similar experience.
  • You have strong commercial / business development skills and a good understanding of partners' needs and how to drive the commercial success of the business.You have experience leading directly managed or cross-functional teams
  • You have good analytical skills, the ability to interpret and present data to support decision-making
  • You have very high initiative and proactiveness, you can identify business opportunities, build a plan and drive its execution
  • You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, you are able to work optimally in a matrix environment driving cross-functional collaboration with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • You are fluent in Portuguese and English
