Job Description

Site Material Manager defines and implements the site material strategy and mode of operation together with key stakeholders (EG procurement, Deployement, logistics, project organization, and other business units).

Provides technical expertise for the material supplier selection for the procurement process.

Main role and responsibilities will be Site implementation material requirements, forecasting for ordering, kitting requirement and material dispatch process.

Contribution to project Logistics on Warehouse Management, Stock Reporting and Reconsolidation processes.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for material supplier selection to ensure that it meets customer & Nokia standard requirements. It should be most competitive solution aligned with Deploy delivery model and guidance
  • Accountable for demand supply implementation for material towards subcon in consultation with project team
  • Accountable for material management including spare parts aligned with NOKIA/Deploy standard processes and customer scope and contract. It may cover coordination to use of customer-supplied materials, including installed base, when needed
  • Responsible for support of PM and ROM in project preparation & planning, by providing material guidelines and specifications, and in project execution phase for all material topics
  • Responsible to support category manager and procurement team for evaluation and selection of subcon and to initiate creation of new Sales Items to fill portfolio gaps when necessary

Main deliverables:

  • Material suppliers selected on time and delivery lead times aligned with project rollout plans considering minimum possible costs and inventory
  • Material management processes and reporting in place. Demand supply planning , delivery and reconciliation in alignment with roll-out plan and in consultation with project team, and supplier/MSV management in collaboration with procurement
  • To support Contract Manager in Change & claim topics in alignment with project and Supply Chan team.
  • Ensure material tracking, inventory status and site consumption reporting
  • Spare part management guidelines, utilization and inventory monitoring & control in central location
  • Material selected to be the best possible operational and financial solution for project (innovative approaches and new SIs if needed) in CW and TI phases
  • Identification of adherence gaps in the site material implementation and co-ordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders

Key Skills And Experience

Must have:

  • Education in Telecommunication or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Management similar positions for radio rollout projects.
  • Practical knowledge of Telecom site products, including BTS, Antenna Systems, Energy Systems and installation materials
  • Subcontractor s’ Management and knowledge transfer in regards to logistics, warehousing and materials management.
  • Site Materials technical knowledge
  • Technical documentation writing
  • Processes’ creation and implementation
  • Familiar with NDPd tool use
  • Fluent Portuguese and English
