In order to ensure the right pace of execution, the alignment of the contributors and programmatic sequencing of “initiatives/projects” (factoring in interdependencies), a global Program Management Office has been set up. This office will support Pluxee major transformation projects, including initiatives related to the Strategy Map such as business growth boosters (ex SME penetration), data acceleration, or foundational/efficiency enablers (ex. operating model, HRIS…)

Your next challenge

In the context of the spin-off and listing project of Pluxee, a Sodexo Company, and the growth acceleration strategy, the role of Finance Manager, has the following responsibilities:

Main Missions

  • To give a 360º visibility to the CFO of the entity,
  • To be the finance partner with the different areas and departments
  • Assists management to make financial decisions.
  • Manage the Administrative & Collection Team in PT
  • To manage the monthly closing, financial plan and forecasts and follow-up of yearly landing.
  • Supervising accounting together with the Spanish team to guarantee reliable accounts reflecting the financial situation of the company,
  • Establishing processes to control operational and financial flows of the company
  • Guarantee conformity and optimisation of tax requirements
  • Manage treasury to optimise cash and financial incomes
  • To guarantee company profitability and growth by means of proper management of the company’s credit policy

Key responsabilities:

Ensure that the accounting and invoicing are rigorously managed:

- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions

- Supervising accounting and monthly closing of accounts

- In charge of control of invoicing

- Issue control on all products

- Elaboration and presentation of annual accounts

- Coordination of suppliers and purchasing policy

Management of the Credit Policy: proposing improvement measures in the credit policy and participating in their creation, participating in the establishment of department goals and ensure compliance with credit policy. Able, in a certain limit, to evaluate risk vs commercial approach before granting credit.

Management of collections from customers: manage the team in order to ensure collection, use his judgement to block or unblock orders in order to collect payments. Management of outstanding payment risk while ensuring good client relationship requires a perfect coordination with sales farmers team and direct exposure to clients when needed.

Ensure efficiency of the department: review processes with the team and look for ways of automatization and gain in efficiency. This needs to be managed in coordination with other departments.

He/she is in charge of the coordination of external auditors and lawyers (responsible for the relationship with auditors / lawyers, follow-up and revision of group processes, proposition of action plans to improve accounting and financial controls). He/she is the first interlocutor of the external audit team and lawyers.

The Finance manager should work closely with the financial analytical department. He is in charge with his team to:

- Provide analytical accounting anwering the needs & criterias of financial analytics

- Design processes, with the other departments of the company, to maintain this analytical accounting consistent

- Provide consistency between IFRS statements to report and local accounts.

He/she is in charge of tax (revision and presentation of tax declarations) and is responsible to coordinate consulting on tax with external layers.

He/she is in charge of treasury management (management of daily cash position, relationship with banks, cash and LGO prevision with the rest of the finance team.

Responsible for group reporting: on P&L, balance sheet and appendix items in accordance to IFRS rules. This implies understanding technical issues such as tax proof or equity reporting.

You’re a match

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in financial department
  • Processes & Policies implementation experience.
  • Team management expertise (+5 years)
  • Structured and organized
  • Client oriented
  • Able to take timely decisions on credit collection
  • Strong management skills
  • Pro-active and autonomous
  • Multi-tasking and ability to work against tight deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese native, Spanish is a plus
