Mercer Portugal is seeking candidates for the following position based in Lisbon:

INVESTMENTS PERFORMANCE ANALYST

What can you expect?

  • As an Investments Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for producing various investments monitoring reports for UK pension funds, which include asset allocation, performance, risk analysis, price/performance assessment and strategy updates;
  • Be an integral part of an exciting project, where we support our UK Wealth business;
  • Work directly and daily with UK-based Investments Consultants colleagues in several UK office locations.

We will count on you to:

  • Be part of a culture of having fun while delivering results with a high-quality standard;
  • Produce investments monitoring reports for pension funds with quantitative and qualitative analysis and performance appraisal;
  • Contact external entities (such as asset managers) to validate customer information;
  • Compile information and prepare analysis, evaluation and interpretation of results;
  • Follow-up with consulting teams, suggesting approaches and clarifying details of reports produced;
  • Be responsible for thorough analysis of portfolios to help stakeholders make better investment decisions;
  • Support consultants when appropriate on a technical perspective (methodologies, assumptions) and client reporting queries.

What you need to have:

  • Degree or Master's in finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills;
  • Fluent English level;
  • Strong analytical skills, ease with VBA/Python/R is a plus;
  • Attention to detail is critical;
  • Strong problem-solving skills & ability to clearly articulate complex issues;
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to prioritize and effectively manage a wide variety of ongoing tasks;
  • Proactive and goal oriented.
