Summary

Duties
Incumbent is assigned to USNSE Lisbon. Incumbent performs and/or assists in the operation of there creation activities. Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying and understanding of the interest and needs of program participants. Typical assignments may include: establishing schedules of events; applying rules and regulations in supervising assigned youth participants in indoor and outdoor activities; scheduling and conducting tours and field trips. Helps to plan and coordinates details of recreational activities and maintains related supplies. Assists in planning, scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants. Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations. Performs other related duties assigned.

Qualifications
Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs.
A qualified candidate must possess:
One year of specialized recreation/ and or customer service experience or successful completion of 2 years of study that included at least 12 semester hours in courses related to recreation (e.g., basic psychology, group dynamics, physical education, arts and craft s) may be substituted for 1 year of experience or a combination of experience and education.
Ability to organized, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and methods of procedure used in organizing, planning and conducting all types of activities.
Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and the entire scope of Community Recreation activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests.
Knowledge of recreational and entertainment events.
Knowledge of computers, office procedures and print production.
Education

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
