Senior Cloud Engineer / Persistence Services

We are actively seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Platform Persistence team. At Five9, we work in small teams and move fast to drive our products and business to the next level. We look for crucial skills in team members such as a problem-solving mindset and intellectual curiosity, along with comfortable integration into a deeply collaborative system that rewards impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implementation, and automation of large-scale distributed systems both on prem and in cloud
  • Maintain existing environments: on prem and cloud
  • Participate in planned maintenances and be a part of on-call rotation
  • Participate in troubleshooting of possible issues on infrastructure and systems side
  • Work with Engineering teams to deliver high quality software
  • Improve environments availability, observability, automate routine tasks via terraform, ansible, python

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of DevOPS\SRE experience
  • Experience with Linux(any flavor)
  • Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience with config management tools such as Ansible, Puppet. Ansible is mandatory
  • Experience with CI/CD methodologies & tools: GitLab, GitHub, etc
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
  • 2+ years of public cloud experience (Any cloud, preferable GCP)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (we are using Terraform)
  • Experience with Incident Management Process, SRE best practices and continuous improvements
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Must be willing to participate on call duties
