• About the Role:

As a Product Owner & Scrum Master at BHOUT, you will be responsible for managing the product development process while coordinating a multidisciplinary team that includes backend developers, front-end developers (web, Android, iOS), and hardware engineers. Your primary goal will be to ensure that product visions are translated into successful, high-quality deliverables, while fostering a collaborative and efficient agile environment.

• What You'll Do:

Product Ownership:

• Define and manage the product roadmap based on company strategy, customer feedback, and market analysis.
• Translate high-level product requirements into detailed user stories, tasks, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize the product backlog to maximize value delivery, balancing business needs, user experience, and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including C-level, marketing, sales, and support teams, to ensure alignment on product goals and deliverables.

Scrum Master Duties:

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure agile best practices are followed.
• Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions, enabling them to focus on high-quality delivery.
• Track and report on key metrics (velocity, burndown charts) to optimize team performance and project timelines.

Team Coordination:

• Work with a cross-functional team that includes backend engineers, front-end developers (web, Android, iOS), and hardware engineers.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team environment.
• Bridge communication between technical and non-technical team members to ensure a shared understanding of product goals.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team, encouraging innovative solutions and process optimization.
• Analyze product performance, gather user feedback, and adjust the product strategy as necessary to meet evolving market needs.
• What You'll Need:
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or similar role, ideally within a tech-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience in managing sprints and agile teams.
• Familiarity with both software and hardware product development processes.
• Experience managing teams that include backend, web, Android, iOS, and hardware engineers.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and align cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering user-centric solutions.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
• Must have residency in Portugal and be eligible to work under a Portuguese contract.
• Scrum Master Certification (CSM) or Product Owner Certification (CSPO).
• Experience in the fitness, gaming, or IoT sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with technical languages and protocols relevant to our stack, including Java, Kotlin, Swift, Quarkus, and IoT communication protocols.
