What This Job Involves

  • Shape, lead and execute a connected, holistic Research and Strategy offer in Portugal.
  • Partner with JLL business leadership to develop and embed the research platform, program, and output.
  • Actively contribute to business development and strategic growth priorities.
  • Be an active regional spokesperson for JLL, through traditional and new media and conference organisations
  • Scope and deliver key market and thematic research reports providing a unique house view on market drivers and influencers, ensuring deliverables and themes are aligned with business strategy and wider global research programmes
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the macro and micro factors affecting Portugal, delivering insightful and fresh analysis, covering socio-economic, technological, sustainability and other key drivers of change.
  • Provide and present compelling analysis, strategic insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients, partnering closely with business teams in Portugal and more widely across EMEA to build holistic narratives.
  • Proactively position research to enable our business and clients to leverage this knowledge for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research as a differentiator including being personally client facing and externally focused on new business efforts.
  • Connect and collaborate with aligned teams and colleagues across EMEA and globally.

Sound like you? To apply you need to be / have:

  • Fluent Portuguese and English (desirable)
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry; a recognised industry figure
  • A deep and demonstrable understanding of trends and drivers across the industry, with the ability to act as a subject matter expert
  • A strong awareness of technology and its impact on people, space, place and capital
  • Proactive and strategic thinking and ability to lead research initiatives, align research with the business, and innovate on research output
  • Clear bias towards continued innovation, data and digital
  • Strong analytical mindset and skills, including financial analytics experience
  • Advanced interpersonal, writing, presentation and communication skills
  • A self-starter with a proven track record in effectively setting and executing strategy
  • Prior experience of successfully managing in a matrix organisation and complex regional /global projects
  • Strong communicator and ability to manage senior stakeholders
  • Ability to inspire colleagues across the network, in generating ideas and deliverables
  • Proven, wide-ranging experience of leading, managing and executing strategy mandates and client projects
  • A strong team player
