David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading Outsourcing/BPO consultancy who is seeking to onboard Afrikaans speaking Customer Support Representative for their Lisbon offices.

Position: Customer Support Representative

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: Base salary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Listen actively to customers' questions and concerns about products and provide accurate and effective solutions to address their needs
  • Offer clear and concise guidance regarding product usage, ensuring customers understand how to use products safely and efficiently
  • Provide detailed information on product ingredients, composition, and safety, answering any queries related to the contents of products
  • Assist in emergency situations, offering immediate support and advice for customers facing issues like product misuse, and escalating critical cases when necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the product line and ensure all customer inquiries are handled with professionalism and empathy
  • Document customer interactions accurately, ensuring detailed records are kept for future reference or further investigation when needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Native/fluent in Afrikaans, both verbal and written. Fluent in English (minimum B2 level)
  • Eligible to work in Portugal or pre-settled in Portugal
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively and respond thoughtfully to customer inquiries
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address customer concerns efficiently and provide appropriate solutions
  • Experience in customer service, particularly in handling technical or product-related inquiries, is preferred but not required
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during high-pressure situations, such as emergencies or difficult customer interactions
  • Proficiency in using email, phone systems, and other customer service tools; experience with CRM software is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple customer requests and document conversations accurately.
