We are looking for a new Junior Field Service Engineer UPS to join our team in Sintra, Portugal!

Job Highlights:

  • Conduct startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for VERTIV/LIEBERT UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, salespersons, distributors, and others in the area.
  • Ensure seamless communication with the dispatching team and department Manager/Supervisor.
  • Responsible for maintaining assigned spares in VAN stock.
  • Adhere to environmental guidelines during technical interventions, both from Vertiv and client-specific requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Professionally respond to service calls during duty hours.
  • Familiarize with and comply with procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual.
  • Ensure proper accounting of spare parts following established procedures.
  • Keep the Dispatching Team updated on schedule and job statuses.
  • Maintain customer listing accuracy by promptly reporting errors.
  • Submit weekly paperwork accurately and debrief Wireless Field Service jobs comprehensively.
  • Report and promote sales or service leads to the relevant department.
  • Attend required meetings and collaborate with the department supervisor on operational duties.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary school diploma or technical degree in Electrical/Electronics.
  • Priority given to candidates with expertise in UPS systems.
  • Medium-level proficiency in English; computer literate.
  • Valid Driving License, travel and weekend availability (potentially scheduled with short notice).
  • Occasional heavy lifting required (30 kg).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Self-starter with effective planning, organizing, and time management abilities.
