CONTEXT

Richemont owns some of the world’s leading luxury goods Maisons, with strengths in jewellery, fine watches & premium accessories, including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Montblanc, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin, etc.

Richemont has a strong ambition to transform its business model towards New Retail. Part of this transformation is the Group Data Office that, among others, delivers Analytics & Data Science projects for the different Maisons.

The Analytics & Data Science team, belonging to “Group Data Office”, supports this vision by developing analytics and data science use cases, defining best practices across the group, and industrializing analytics & data science solutions. This team is recruiting a Senior Analytics Engineer to work under the Lead Analytics Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable requirements for data product development.
  • Develop and maintain business-ready data products for analytics purposes using collaborative tools such as dbt or dataform.
  • Leverage analytics platforms available within the Group such as Google Looker to build data visualization solutions and get actionable insights.
  • Oversee the delivery process, from defining project requirements, setting up the right tools and foundations and up-skilling the end users to ensure full ownership of the developed solution.
  • Maintain the related documentation, materials & data definitions.
  • Set up monitoring tools to evaluate adoption, performance, and issues of final products.
  • Cooperate with the support teams to ensure data consistency, data accuracy, and performance of the delivered flows.
  • Act as an active promotor of data culture and awareness through ongoing training, learning materials and support.

Academic Background

  • Graduate in Master program in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.

Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics and/or data engineering, ideally in an international context.
  • Ability to translate business needs/constraints into technical terms.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and developing data models.
  • Experienced with cloud data warehouses, preferable with GCP – BigQuery.
  • Strong knowledge in analytics concepts, tools, and methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of Looker (LookML)
  • Solid knowledge of data transformation tools such as dbt
  • Scrum methodology knowledge is a plus.
