Responsibilities
- Evaluate wind turbine performance using data science and machine learning techniques
- Develop and implement verification tools and methodologies for software features
- Create data-driven decision support tools and analyses for leadership
- Provide analytics support to other teams for high-profile issues
- Develop advanced prognostic and diagnostic algorithms using wind turbine data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Grafana or Power BI
- Prior experience working with wind turbine data or in the renewable energy sector
- Experience with developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms
- Experience working in an agile environment, managing backlogs, and participating in sprint planning
- Expertise in using data analysis and statistical software, such as SQL or SAS
Competencies
- Good ability to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization techniques
- Expertise in applying machine learning algorithms and data science techniques
- Skilled in designing and implementing verification tools and methodologies for software features
- Innovative thinking in developing new approaches for field verification and data analysis
- Ability to create data-driven decision support tools for strategic decision-making
- Good problem-solving skills, especially in high-stress situations
- Competency in developing and refining prognostic and diagnostic algorithms
- Effective communication skills for presenting technical information
- Good leadership with effective collaboration skills
